Honoured by the request to contribute to the Symposia 2007 and the historic silent prayer for the planet www.rsesymposia.org she has dedicated “The new day” to life on earth.

“This is a call for humanity to come together regardless of opinions and religious persuasions, and the challenges that are faced by life on this planet. It is a call to commune with each other and to feel the heart of the earth we are destroying – before it is too late”

Dear friends around the world

September 7th 2007 the religious leaders from all around the world and representing many different faiths will come together and pray for the earth.

This historic event is organised by Religion, Science and the Environment and will be proceeded by a symposia where scientists, policy makers, religious leaders and environmentalists will be discussing the challenges the earth is facing.

This is a call for humanity to come together regardless of opinions and religious persuasions and embrace the challenges that are faced by life on this planet.

It is a call to commune with each other and to feel the heart of the earth we are destroying before it is too late.

The event is under the patronage of:

HE Mr José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission.
HE Mr Kofi Annan, Former Secretary-General of the United Nations

You are welcome to join this unique moment in history in whatever spiritual or religious practice that is natural for you; through prayer, meditation or simply by bringing your conscious awareness to this unique moment of connection.
